First Impressions
This was the moment I relaxed on Christmas Eve.
After a slightly shaky start with a Solear sherry that didnt land, we opened the Nyetimber and straight away, you could feel the shift, it was an excellent sparkler.

In the Glass
It’s got that Champagne feel to it, and I don’t say that lightly.
Fine bubbles, really clean, loads of freshness, and then just enough of that bready, slightly creamy character to give it some depth.
It doesn’t feel forced or overdone, it just feels balanced.
The Overall Feel
What stood out most was how quickly everyone got on board with it.
Glasses were topped up without asking, conversation was flowing, and it did exactly what a wine like this should do the only real issue we had was that there was only one bottle between four of us, we could have easily smashed in another couple easily!
It brought everyone into it.
Final Thoughts
This isn’t “good for English sparkling.”
It’s just really good wine comparing with what you can get at this price point
And on this night, it completely changed the tone of everything.
